Recall verification
Check the product, batch, market and source.
Recall actions may be initiated or communicated by a brand owner, marketing authorisation holder, distributor, Walter, or a competent authority depending on the product and market. Walter can help route a batch-specific verification request.
Information needed to verify a notice
- Product name, strength, dosage form, pack size and market
- Batch or lot number, manufacturing date and expiry date exactly as printed
- Name of the company that issued the communication and how you received it
- A copy or screenshot of the notice, including its reference number and date
- Your organisation, role, stock location, quantity held and contact details
If you receive a verified recall instruction
- Follow the issuing organisation’s written instructions and applicable regulatory requirements
- Stop distribution or use where instructed and identify affected stock without mixing it with unaffected batches
- Segregate and secure affected stock; do not destroy or return it until authorised instructions are received
- Record quantities distributed, remaining, returned or otherwise reconciled
- Report any associated adverse event or product-quality concern through the relevant Walter route
Current-status boundary
This page is a verification and reporting route, not a complete public recall register. For the current status of a specific Walter-connected product or batch, contact Walter and the brand owner or supplier identified on the pack or notice.
Patients should not stop a prescribed medicine solely because of an unverified message. Contact a pharmacist, treating clinician or the verified notice issuer promptly for patient-specific guidance.
